Playing music requires a good ear, a
solid memory, and a firm understanding of the musical language. Learning music
theory gives you a keen understanding of how music works. It identifies
patterns and structure in composition across every style, culture, and
historical period.
Students in the recreational
division and adults as well, will enrich and broaden their musical
experience through this option classes.
Music Theory courses at Avant-Garde
are compulsory for students in the pre-professional and professional division.
