AGMS Music Adventures
A week long of travels around the world. Learning about musical cultures, playing instruments, singing, making crafts, and exploring with new friends.
Your child will:
- Learn about different musical traditions around the world through stories, crafts, and listening examples.
- Learn musical terms and concepts of speed, range, and intensity
- Make music as an ensemble using percussion instruments (drums, shakers, resonatort bars, etc)
- Have snack time
- Have a light lunch when in full-day camp
You will:
- Be able to take advantage of complementary before (8:15 am)/after(4:45pm) camp care
- Choose from half-day or full-day camp

Ages 4- 5 years
Half-day 9:00 am-12:00 pm or 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Full-day: 9:00 am -4:00 pm

Why a music based camp?
Research shows that the study of music contributes in a significant manner to the development of language, physical ability, emotions, and cognition.
A whole-child based approach to musical development
Children in our camp tap into their emotions, creativity, social interactions, and innate curiosity to develop musical skills and make sense of musical concepts, symbols, and notation.
Variety of activities
The structure of Music Adventures provides children with variety. Activities range from crafts to drumming circle, from singing to music games and movement.

Variety of instruments and props
You will use in your Kindermusik classes high quality and age appropriate instruments and materials. Music recordings include a variety of styles
Camp theme
Each day your child will take an imaginary trip to a new country to learn about its music, traditions, instruments, and songs. Through play and imagination your child will make the connections to musical concepts and terms
Snack Time
Your child will enjoy playing and making new friends during snack time and lunch time.

Music Adventures makes learning playful and empowering.
1. We are not a musical family. Would my child still enjoy the program/camp?
Absolutely!!
Our camps are designed to accommodate diversity: from children who aren’t sure what music is all about and this will be their first experience to children that have participated in the school choir and want to learn and explore more.
Our programs will fully immerse you child in the world of music in a positive and encouraging environment. We are sure your child will be eager to share with you his/her musical experiences of the day.
3. How do I register and pay with credit card or an E-transfer?
You will need to complete your registration online. Choose in the payment section credit card or “E-tranfer”. If you choose E-transfer you will be directed to a window where you will be provided with the security question and password instructions as well as the email address to send your payment. Once you register online your child's space will be secured as soon as we receive your E-transfer.
2. What is the experience of the instructors?
All our instructors are music specialists with areas of expertise in various musical disciplines (piano, voice, guitar, music education) and styles (jazz, world music, classical, pop.)
4. What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is permitted (less a $70.00 administration fee) provided notice is given no less than 30 days prior to the first day of camp.
No refund will be given with less than 15 days-notice unless a doctor’s note is provided (less a $70.00 administration fee).
