Give your child a fun, focused music experience this summer with AGMS Summer Session options designed for families in NW Calgary.
Our Summer Session brings together several short programs so you can choose the right fit for your child’s age, goals, and schedule. From creative labs for experienced students to gentle “try something new” options, each program blends solid musical learning with the relaxed, playful feel families want in July.
Below you’ll find our Summer Session programs, each with a short description, so you can quickly see which option best fits your child and your summer plans.
Instrument Explorer Instrument Explorer lets kids safely “test drive” a new instrument over a short summer series, without a long‑term commitment. They get hands‑on time, simple pieces to try, and guidance from our teachers so you can decide whether to continue in the fall.
Piano Lab Intensive Piano Lab Intensive is a 2‑week summer mini‑course for children ages 6–7 who are curious about piano and want a gentle, playful way to try it. It meets three days a week for 45 minutes, so families get frequent, bite‑sized lessons that fit easily into busy summer schedules. Each session balances creativity and play with growing focus and follow‑through, using musical games, simple patterns, and short songs to help young beginners build listening skills and confidence without feeling like “more school.”
Sound Crafters Lab Sound Crafters Lab is a creative digital music lab for ages 8–12 with at least one year of lessons. Students create original tracks with one‑to‑one coaching and collaborative projects, learning the basics of music production in a supportive group.
